Great Location. Awesome views. Thats where the greatness ends.
The hotel is very tired. I would imagine in its prime this hotel was beautiful but it is in desperate need of a refurb and clean. The bathroom looked older than me. Lots of mould and mildew. Wyndham Bait & Switch is the Worst....Timeshare Scam

Although on the surface, the lead you see in advertisements looks too good to be true, you can rest assured it's even worse than you might imagine. Wyndham uses a partner called Monster Resort Group to market their "discounted getaways" which are a front for timeshare presentations and high pressure sales.
The ads advertise a 5 day/4 night stay at a hotel in NYC and range from $199 to a low of ~$30 if you fill out ...

Third time here but the 1st for my granddaughter. I've always loved the art deco decor which she thought was Very Fancy! Praise indeed from a 15 y.o.! Her eyes opened even wider when she got to the room......as we had arrived early our room wasn't ready, but the excellent Mohammed at reception offered us a free upgrade to a room that was ready- a 2 bed, 2 bathroom. Tiny room, didnt even have room for a light on my side of the bed, chipped walls and door, broken area in bath where soap goes, incredibly noisy so needs new windows, very thin bedding so was cold. No robes or extra blankets in room although to be fair we didnt ask as expected in a hotel of this supposed calibre those were basics we expected. We asked for a new room but was told fully booked. Just the history and the architecture of this place is enough to make me love it.
The basic room is not fancy but had all we needed for our vacation, the location is super convenient and great to stroll around to look for some of the most iconic views.
The staff is super professional and nice, and security is gracious but firm in their job, which made me feel very safe as a guest and a first-timer in the city.
