Like my stay in Lisbon, this hotel is a somewhat uphill climb from the lower part of town or train/metro station. This makes it easy for you to walk down in the morning to see the sights, but you will have to walk up for a rest at the hotel. That saying, it's not a difficult climb, and it is located near to shops/markets/supermarkets.

This is ridiculous shame on holiday inn for not giving its guests somewhere to put suitcase personal belongings. Location is great, bathroom is nice but never again Im an IHG member and am so disappointed!!!...

Exactly as you would expect, no surprises. A safe was available to use in a room used for suitcase storage next to reception. The bedroom was a little noisy but it is on a busy street. It convenient for shopping and very near to Bolhão metro station. Breakfast was nothing extraordinary but very good....

So pleased we booked this Holiday Inn Express. We stayed 4 days before our Drouo River cruise. The location is fabulous. Stroll out the front entrance to the quiet end of St. Catarina. As IHG platinum members, we were upgraded to a wonderful room on the 6th floor with a large balcony. The room was large by European standards, nice walk-in shower, wall-mounted toiletries, no fridge or safe but a kettle and an iron....

Good value, excellent sleep, quiet but useful location

Excellent location with lots of decent restaurants nearby. Walking time to the city centre was about 15 mins. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at the hotel and we got decent sleep. The rooms were clean, a superb shower and the beds very comfy.
Breakfast was very comprehensive and good.
All the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Recommended....
