Stayed two nights. Upon check-in we thought we had stumbled upon a hidden gem. The lobby has an old world charm and the registration process involves a sample of port wine while sitting in an elegant room. Unfortunately thats where our luck ended. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in June and it was just perfect!! The hotel is beautiful (the oldest 5-star luxury hotel in Porto!) and the service was outstanding. Everyone from the doorman to the reception to the concierge - they were all so lovely and professional. Our room was a great size, quiet, clean, comfortable - and my favorite part, they replenish every day bottles of filtered water, Nespresso capsule...

Absolutely amazing classic hotel in a great location in Porto. The stained glass was absolutely stunning! Staff were all very helpful! We had a great experience at this hotel and would 100% go back if we find ourselves in Porto again. Highly recommended!...

Truly grand hotel in central Porto

This is a truly grand hotel in central Porto but I'm sure there must be better value options.
The public areas are beautifully historic. All of the staff were fabulous but for what we paid, the room and bathroom were small and the dining options limited. Luckily there are many excellent restaurants in a 15-minute radius which the concierge is happy to recommend....

Impressive responsiveness

This is my second review. Management was extremely attentive to my issues. The manager on duty brought up engineering and housekeeping to go through the room. She apologized profusely and seemed grateful that the issues were brought to their attention. Having managed people in a customer service environment, I know that service issues can happen. Their service recovery deserves an A+....
