Beautiful Hotel, But Impossible to Sleep

At first, the hotel seems truly charming a beautiful old building with modern comforts and lots of character.
I really wanted to love it.
Unfortunately, the hotel turns into a party venue almost every evening.
The noise from weddings and other private events makes it impossible to relax, with loud music blasting from the late afternoon until well into the night.

All the 5* reviews are true. A beautiful hotel overlooking the Douro. A little bit out of the centre of Porto but taxis and Ubers are plentiful.
We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a junior suite which was HUGEbut only views over car parks. Not complainingwe still enjoyed it.
