Step back in time old Porto at its best..!!

This is a wonderful old palace that has been turned into an into a sumptuous hotel. River view is lovely and the gardens just top the venue off. Staff were incredibly helpful and polite - nothing was too much bother for them. If you want to step back in time, this is a place to stay....

Sumptuous Surroundings, Yet Close to Porto

We opted to stay outside of Porto because we had a car and didn't want to drive in the city. This hotel is easily accessible from the A20 with convenient parking and was just a short & inexpensive Uber ride into town.
The Palacio is a beautiful building that houses the bar, restaurant, breakfast rooms and the sumptuous lobby/lounge area. Hotel rooms are more modern, in the adjoining building along with the insid...

Beautiful Hotel, But Impossible to Sleep

At first, the hotel seems truly charming a beautiful old building with modern comforts and lots of character.
I really wanted to love it.
Unfortunately, the hotel turns into a party venue almost every evening.
The noise from weddings and other private events makes it impossible to relax, with loud music blasting from the late afternoon until well into the night.
