Lovely hotel but breakfast is hit and miss

This hotel is almost 2 km up from the River Douro (where most of the action is in Porto) Depending if you are going there (downhill) or going back (uphill) it is a hike. Bear that in mind when booking there. I am fit so I had no problem getting back, though on the 2nd day, it was tough!

The location of this hotel in Porto was very good and was easy to get an Uber to everything else we did. Walking to the local mercado was great as well as other stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the breakfast that was included however, we would have liked to have the option of breakfast before 7am since we are early risers and start our day early.

At breakfast all tables reserved for group. Individual guest are second class! The 'deluxe' room is very small and only basic, nothing 'deluxe'!

4 night stay at TRYP Porto central ,hotel clean and functional 3 star hotel somewhat like a travel lodge/ibis basic or premier Inn in Uk .
Staff efficient and friendly,room clean ,decent breakfast choice buffet style cereals,youghart ,fruit ,eggs bacon and continental
Room has air conditioning and window opens a crack for air which was a blessing as over 30 degrees outside in June

We have just returned from a four night stay here, hotel is not central located and is right up top in Porto, this said i cant complain really as the rooms were spacious and our bed was huge and comfy, also had a good sized bathroom with all the essentials .
Breakfast is good and there was a choice of hot and cold food.
Staff are friendly and gave us good local information.
