Lovely hotel - in a quiet area away from the centre - 5/10 min walk to the underground or trams - loads of eating places close by - all reasonably priced, not the rip of centre prices. We booked through Easyjet for a package - the package was a very small room, however the hotel upgraded us for a reasonable fee. Modern bathroom facilities and clean - would stay again. Great location and clean hotel. Lovely cafes on doorstep amd suoermarket next door.
Disappointed with unresolved issues with scalding water in bathroom and poor air conditioning. No cold water. Breakfast also poor selections with serving staff who appear very miserable. Would not book again....

Hotel very warm & welcoming. Staff on reception were friendly, The room was nice & comfortable, breakfast was nice (not your standard full english) very good location, away from the hustle & bustle, just a short 10-15 min walk to where you can catch a Tram. My only complaint would be that only one day we had a hot/warm shower, so this definitely needs sorting to cope with the amount of guests staying there. A couple ...

What a lovely friendly hotel in a quiet location. The staff were all pleasant and the team on reception were great all very helpful. The room 511 was spacious and comfortable with a bath to relax in. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of food served buffet style. We have just returned from our stay at the Ametyst and we loved it. Great location in that it is just far enough to be quiet but close enough so Old Town is a 25 / 30 minute walk. The staff are lovely and very helpful. We were able to have a late checkout for the small sum of 20.
