The hotel is closed to most of the citys attractions so you can easily walk around without the need of a vehicle. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. No opinion about the breakfast as it opened at 7:00, the time we had to leave for the airport For these cases they offer take away bags with an extra cost which I consider not fair for B&B clients! To put in context, the hotel charges 300EUR+ per night at this time of the year. Starting with one positive note, the breakfast selection of the hotel was very good.
Here in brief the other side of the coin:
- front deck check-in without real welcome and much information; signing the paper and getting the keys could have bern done by a machine
- they did not get that we had two rooms and every morning the same proce...

Room was big and spacious.Had lovely toiletries in the bathroom.Coffee machine and tea available in the room.Bed was nice and comfortable with plenty of pillows but they were a bit flat so had to stack 2 up.Room was dark at night as there was only a small dim light above the toilet door.No ceiling lights but bedside and table lights only but wasnt really a problem as there was daylight almost all night.

Located within a very nice (almost) Art Deco building, hence the 1919 name, in central Reykjavik ode the historic area. The area is excellent for dining, historic sites and shopping. The room was a good size and had nice ambience and outlook. The bed was comfortable and the sitting area a bonus. Not cheap though....

Rooms not ready at 4:30pm

Sat in the lobby for a couple of hours while they got the room ready. Of course we arrived at 3 and at 4:30, still no room.
Don't count on them having any ability to fix anything. They really don't seem to care at all. Watched lots of people check in while we waited. Manager offered my daughter a coloring book so I guess there's that
