The Sand Hotel is a great stay with modern feels that is centrally located in Reykjavik. The staff was friendly and helpful upon check in and check out. An extensive continental style breakfast was included in the stay. The bed and linens were very comfortable and provided great rest....

Very nice boutique style hotel in heart of Reykjavik. Walk to restaurants, shops and the water. The excellent location. Easy to get a scooter or taxi to go farther a field. Staff was very pleasant, particularly breakfast help that ensured that he morning experience was bright and cheerful. I wrestled with a 4 star vs 5 star rating, basically came down to a few factors. 1) internal noise between rooms is too great,...

I loved the Sand Hotel for many reasons. First of all, the staff was just excellent - always helpful and trying to improve your experience in Iceland. I want to give a special shout-out to the breakfast crew in the morning who really did a fantastic job maintaining the breakfast rush.
The location was ideal on Laugavegur which was closed to car traffic most of the day, allowing for easy walking to most attractions...

We loved the location because we could walk to the famous church, sculpture on the waterfront, restaurants, and shops. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable, and had an automatic nightlight in the bathroom. The only reason for the 4 rather than 5 star was the parking. The hotel has no parking. We were on our own to find street or garage parking. ...
