Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an

I've been here four times in 2 years..I love this hotel....The food is amazing .The services AWESOME.....and a good entertainment for adults.But you need people ,good people, special people to have a very good vacation. For that I want to BIG THANK YOU to everybody who's working in Sian Ka an resort. I love guys and I miss you(I supposed to be again in Sian KA An ----two weeks back)

Firstly must say that 99.9% of the staff are so kind, helpful, polite & friendly. The complex is immaculately clean & tidy. Book all your trips through Gerardo who sits on the lobby. He's brilliant. We paid to go to Xavage Xcaret which is fantastic Book all the restaurants straight away otherwise you may not get in. Arlequin was the most amazing we found. Mashua was also v good You can get a golf buggy to any other hotel on the resort (there are 4 including Sian Khan) Secondly there is not a lot of info provided about what is in the hotels. So here are our must sees Go to the infinity pool- that's a must -at akumal Free dolphin show every day at 11- akumal on the beach Free water sports at the beach There is a 24 HR snack bar at Sian Khan, After 6 they make it to order. The sports bar at Akumul serves chicken wings/burgers etc to order after 4.30 There are tequila driving games. Chocolate making , volleyball, Spanish lessons etc also during the day. We saw a excellent rock band at the Akumal pool. Do the Eco-Baria tour booked in reception. Costs €5 is absolutely brilliant & informative & you can see lots of animals & learn about the Eco park. Now for the negatives. Not ground breaking but maybe indicates this is not a 5* hotel. Everything is quite inconsistent ... Sports bar food, first time was brill, second time food arrived at different times even though we were a party of 6, 2 chicken wings & a few chips & no cutlery. Very different experience from 3 days prior. My parents asked the staff to lay a table next to us in the buffet. Was told no! My parents had the turn down service with petals chocolates etc twice during 11 days & the other 2 rooms did not even receive this service once even though we came as a party of 6. The Tepiyanki was disappointing. You had to choose which specific meat you wanted & the menu to purchase wine as a extra was shoved in our face as soon as we sat down rather than asking everyone what they would like to drink first. Then all the coke & lemonade was flat. Have experienced teppanyaki in other AL hotels in Jamaica etc and this was by far the worst. We went to another hotel on the complex & could not get back at 12.15 even though the trains are supposed to run until 12.30am. The train then passed us after we had walked for 30 mins! You have to specifically ask for top shelf spirits when ordering drinks. Cocktails made in Sian Khan can not be made in other hotels? Gardeners start super early, right by the rooms, limiting any sleep in the morning Finally, when you arrive in Mexico They give you a tiny immigration slip of paper keep hold of this as if you loose it you have to pay $50 when you leave the airport to get another one. Although no one tells you that!

Great resort but i room was not ready until close to 5pm. The food and entertainment was great but please tip the waiters. I ran out of small bills by day four out of five and the buffet staff wouldn't even bring us water. The hostess that's seats you wouldn't seat us but the very next couple was shown their seats with smiles. Runaway bay is still the best we have been to.
