Iberotel Palace

This was our 4th visit to this wonderful hotel which we like to call home. It had been 5 long years since our last visit and it was so nice to see that some of the staff were still there and as warm and welcoming as ever. The Palace is always clean and the restaurants and bars serve a variety of food and drinks to suit all guests. The beach bar is fantastic for a drink and lovely freshly cooked pizza, burgers sandwiches and salads. Evening entertainment is varied and always seems to fit, you can have a dance or sit and relax in comfortable surroundings. Final mention again to all the staff, well done everyone for making the Palace a hotel to be proud of and we cannot wait to return..

Where do I start about this fantastic hotel. I’ll start at the end - overall this hotel is in our opinion your best choice in Sharm for location, excellent service, great food and good value for money. We went as a family on 11 March to 18 March and we’re so glad we chose this hotel. We booked through Tui and their service was really good. So we’ve chosen to give a detailed review and are happy to take questions, as this is our 4th visit to Sharm el Sheikh and more to Cairo and Hurghada and Luxor, all in Egypt. Firstly, there’s no better time to return to Sharm now as they make it known unashamedly that they miss the UK’s polite tourists and exchange rate is c1:20 British to Egyptian pound. Don’t worry about changing your money at all, they accept all currencies now but leave your coins at home, take plenty of fivers and dollar bills for tips if you’re so inclined (we recommend tipping as it’s appreciated and we know hospitality isn’t well paid in any country but Egyptians will never ask) Back to the hotel... Location of Iberotel Palace - Perfectly located near the old market, not sure any hotel of this quality is closer. Across the road and step through a really nice mini mall, you’re in front of the old market, with restaurants and great shops, large mosque monument, and many more a gem in sharm. - When you’re going to excursions, you’re usually the first to be picked up Iberotel Palace Premises - Looks small and quaint from the outside like a private Chalet in the south of France with a welcome and calming fragrance making you feel right at home - It’s Absolutely Stunning, well maintained, clean, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful international flowers (including bougainvillea, popular in Barbados) - Restaurants beautiful, well staffed and well kept - They are fully prepared even with the global pandemic with testing kits and gels making you feel safe Food & Drink at Iberotel palace - Food is a good variety, delicious and well seasoned, lots of seafoods and pastas, cheeses and sushi nights, meats and chicken, gorgeous desserts, abundant fruits, salads, veg and vegan options, - Go all inclusive and enjoy an abundance of drinks whether at the bar by reception, pool bar or at dinner - drink tip- Ask at the main restaurant about their local drink Uzu or fruit mix Fahfahina (no idea about spelling). Excursions - Onsite there’s a guy called Yaya representing Dive centre pyramids, he booked us amazing amazing amazing excursions, our favourite was Ras Mohammed for Snorkeling and VIP experience. Prices can be up to £60 person but you can ask nicely and he’ll give you a discount. - There are on site boats to take you out. Staff & Service - When you arrive you’re greeted with a nice towel and cool drink which just relaxes you from the beginning - From checkin to checkout, I cannot comment enough on the friendliness of Egyptians and this hotel’s staff are a brilliant representation of that authenticity, patience, professionalism and kindness - Reception staff, Bar staff, Restaurant staff, beach staff, cleaners, everyone says hello and wish you a fantastic time and will do anything for you. Facilities - Gym and pools are of really good standards - There are 2 good sized pools together in the centre, one heated - You’re on a well maintained beach with enough sun beds and loungers, hammocks a beach bar - Spa facilities and massages are also available at a great standard Entertainment - Every evening there’s either live music or a full on show at the arena with dancing from various cultures, cabaret, strictly type dancing and so on - Lots of activities for the children to do and in the evening - if you happen to be celebrating your Birthday, let them know and they will make it special
