Expected better treatment from arrogant staff

Hotel facilities were nice but swimming pool was in the basement and hot humid and strongly chlorinated. Also next to the gym which was wet from kids playing in there from pool area. Also as we were with a tour attitude of staff made us feel second class, dinners were buffet style in back room. Food ok but not great. Hotel in rougher end of town and uber from city centre....

I am absolutely shocked by the dichotomy of a pleasant, well-appointed hotel with great rooms and friendly staff located in an absolutely dystopian landscape of abandoned, graffiti-covered buildings, heavy industry, abandoned cars, broken roads and pavements, dusty highways, and prostitutes. Nice and spacious room and very good breakfast. However, there is a sulfur smell from the bathroom which should be fixed. The bathroom ventilator is continuously running and it makes a continues noise even during the night

A pleasant hotel

A nicely appointed 5 star hotel, located out of town in a fairly industrial area. The hotel does however, offer a shuttle service which drops you near the main square. It is actually a taxi that the hotel pays for, and available 1000, 1200, 1900 and 2100. It returns from the Astoria Hotel (downtown) at 1020, 1220, 1920 and 2120.
A taxi will cost 8 if you wish to return at your leisure. Room tax is 10 per night...

Nice hotel in an area that feels unsafe.
Our room was clean with a view of the nice courtyard. Staff is friendly. Food at dinner and breakfast was tasty.
The area around the hotel is ugly and felt less than safe. Also not convenient to the city center. Graffiti on most buildings contributes to the unattractive look. Graffiti seems to be the rule in most of the city that we saw....
