    Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has bedrooms peeled from the pages of Disney and Disney·Pixar stories. Plus, it boasts Walt Disney World Resort’s largest pool.

    This place has been designed with four movies in mind – Disney’s The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, and Disney·Pixar's Finding Nemo and Cars. Each comes with its own themed courtyard.

    Look out for oversized Character models, like Timon and Pumbaa, and a 35-foot-tall King Triton dotted around the place. Inside, bedrooms are decorated to make you feel like you’re right in the movies.

      The hotel is set into 4 courtyards, and 3 of them have pools - Cars, Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo sections. The latter even has its own pool bar that serves up snacks and drinks. If you want quiet and relaxing, games and activities or a general family orientated pool, then you will find them all here, just take your pick and have fun.

      These under-the-sea-themed rooms come with Wi-Fi, a flatscreen TV, a safe, a mini-fridge, an iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. Little Mermaid artwork is dotted around the walls, too. They sleep up to four with a pair of queen-size beds.

      These family suites have a Finding Nemo theme and come with Wi-Fi, a flatscreen TV, a safe, a mini-fridge, an iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. They sleep up to six with a queen-size bed in the bedroom and two double sofa-beds in the lounge.

    My family and I just got back from our stay at AOA. We are a family of four with our 2 kids being in their 20's one male and one female. It's very hard to find accommodations for our family in a moderate price range where we don't have to share beds. The moderates do have pull down beds that list for 5 people but you are not guaranteed that type of room, so we booked AOA. We were located in the Finding Nemo suites which is closest to food court and Big Blue pool and a quick walk to the Skyliner. Having 2 bathrooms was great! Everyone had their own bed which was also great. Mousekeeping was wonderful. We had a couple small issues in the room but after a quick phone call they were promplty rectified, so service was very good here. I wish the rooms were a little less "in your face" with the themeing. I like the exterior theming but would prefer a bit more subdued interior to be honest - like Pop Century. Beds were very comfortable. Food court was never crowded even though the parks were crazy busy. Skyliner was amazing! It really was wonderful having that option and it made it easy to even try a restaurant we probably wouldn't have otherwise - Sebastian's at the CBR. Great find. Bus service here was excellent. We never waited more than five minutes for a bus and it's a ten minute drive to MK which is fantastic! All in all the resort filled our needs and our stay was pleasant. Personally, I would prefer to stay in a room next time that isn't so intense with the theming, but like I said previously, it's really hard to find those type of accommodations for our family without spending a fortune.

    Room and amenities are clean and good for families. Nice pool. I found the menu options limited and pricey (par for Disney). Had to wait over 40 minutes for a bus to Disney Springs. If you advertise it as a place to visit (which Disney does) they shouldn’t make you wait that long for transport).

    we stayed at this place from january 4 to january 10.we were in little mermaid which is little far from Reception desk.we checked in online and received our magic band well in advance,check in was very easy. we feel that they should have at least 1 person to assist at check in lines.Lots of guests has a question and nobody was there.They have to stay inline to ask a question.Of course,you download disneyworld app but some people still had some questions. Trasport to Disney springs and other parks were very easy.great facility . The resort pool and surroundings are very clean and well maintained. bathroom amenities are basic. FOOD.This are for us were big no no not because of price but quality of food.Choices were not good.one most worst thing we ordered was Tandoori chicken.it was not near to what tandoori chicken is .it was just sloppy pieces of backed chicken with some kind of salty sauce.You can get recepe for tandoori chicken on google. I would suggest to get order from grubhub(Thanks to them for allowing it). overall,it was very satisfying stay at this resort.

    We stayed here 4 nights from Dec. 15 to 19, 2019. We were assigned a room in Little Mermaid. This is a huge hotel, with 10 separate buildings. It was quite a walk from reception and the shuttle bus station to our room. It was quite tiring for us because of all the walking in the parks. We’d prefer to stay instead in a single-building hotel. Because this is a huge complex, naturally, this hotel had more guests. And it showed one night when we came back to the hotel from Magic Kingdom using the shuttle bus. The lines to board the bus outside the Magic Kingdom shuttle terminal were looooooong. We were in line for more than an hour because there were not enough buses to ferry the passengers. The lines for the shuttle buses to the other resort hotels were short. This is a “basic” hotel compared to Disney hotels we stayed at in Shanghai and Hong Kong. We chose to stay in a Disney hotel since we wanted to experience staying in a Disney hotel after that very good experience we had in Shanghai and Hong Kong (this was our last Disney park visit to complete all Disney parks: HK, Shanghai, Paris, Tokyo and LA). This hotel did not have the same “feel” as the Disney hotels in Asia. Our room had 2 queen beds and coffee machine. There was no microwave. Toilet and bath facilities and amenities were basic. As a resort hotel, when we stepped out of our room, it was already the outside of the building, and not an interior hallway. For the price of this hotel, I was expecting a rather more upscale feel. In our next visit to Disney Orlando, we’d probably stay in a cheaper non-Disney hotel instead. We could use the difference in price between a Disney hotel and a non-Disney hotel for taxi fare or Uber to go to the parks.

    The gondola is a game-changer. We have historically stayed at deluxe hotels because they can accommodate 5 and we could walk or monorail to the parks. We decided to try Art of Animation this time and would do it again. It was great having the space of a suite and 2 bathrooms were great. The gondola made it very easy to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We only had waits coming back from the parks one night but otherwise walked on (during a busy time). It took about 20 min. to get to Epcot and about 15 to Hollywood Studios. We stayed in building 4 (Nemo suite) which was a great location close to the front building, pool and gondola. We used the quieter pool in the Cars area one afternoon, it was heated but still cool. The kitchen area in-suite was nicely equipped with paper plates, bowls, silverware, and paper towels. The suite itself was a nice size with the fold-out double couch and pull down bed, also a double. The only negative was the comfort of the beds, none of them were great.
