Perfect for a Trip to the Theatre

We travelled up to Zurich for a Saturday night to watch a show at the Theatre (Theatre 11), so we wanted something nearby - so this was a great find! It's only about 15 minutes away on the tram from the main station, so super convenient. The check-in/-out times are great; we were able to have a super lazy morning rather than rushing to get out.

Zurich is expensive, so I guess this hotel's rates would be considered mid-range/affordable, but it's pricy for what you get (no included breakfast, clean but very dated 80s decor, location away from central/historic part of city).
So if you've never been to Zurich, I'd recommend staying closer to the central part of the city or neighborhoods near the lake - but if like me, you've been to the city before and just n...

We spent two nights at Hotel Sternen Oerlikon in October. The hotel was very convenient to transit, being just a hundred meters from the Tram stop, which is 10 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes from the Bahnhof. The staff was very helpful, the room was very comfortable and we would gladly stay here again if we return to Zurich. The Sternen Oerlikon Hotel is a 7-minute walk from the Oerlikon train station and thus provides good but maybe not ideal access to city and airport. The hotel itself is clean, modern, quiet. Great value - easy access to the city center and airport via metro, trams and buses; good sized rooms with clean bathrooms and strong AC. Reception staff are warm, responsive and helpful, even lending us umbrellas when it rained. The neighborhood itself has cafes, shops, and restaurants, it was very convenient....
