Infant and child prices

How much will I pay for infant or child airfares?

Small kids mean small prices, right? The child price listed on our website – including any discounts – depends on their age and the accommodation you’ve selected. Please check the Accommodation Details page in your booking for more details.

While really little travellers – under two years of age on the date of their return flight – get to fly for free, most airlines will still have a small additional charge. This is to cover taxes and charges applied directly to the airline. Seats and in-flight meals are not provided for children under the age of two.

Now for the legal stuff – according to policy for all UK-registered aircraft, infants under six months of age must sit on an adult’s lap and be secured with an infant lap-strap (provided by the airline) for the duration of the flight.

Children aged between six months and two years must sit on an adult’s lap, unless a separate seat is purchased (please note that most airlines have a one-infant-per-lap policy.) If you do opt for an extra seat, a car seat may be used during the flight if your little one wants to travel in style.
