Hunt for the ruins of an ancient city on Salih Island
Dedicate a day to Salih, an almost-deserted island. Its hills wear hats made of pine trees, while olive groves line its shores. There are a few very good beaches here, too – and they’re library-quiet. The island’s highlight is the myth surrounding its ancient city of Kayranda, which is said to have been built here, yet no ruins have ever been found. The island’s shrouded in mystery and makes for good walking territory.
