Visit the Red Roof Church
Because Haute Rive is three quarters of the way up Mauritius’ east coast, it’s easy to visit one of the island’s main sightseeing spots. The Red Roof Church has been the standout piece of architecture for 80 years, thanks to its striking scarlet top. You can reach it in half an hour’s drive. It’s usually busier on a Sunday because locals come to attend morning mass.
