Hunt for souvenirs in Oia
The best of the island’s shopping is in Thira, handily just 5 minutes’ drive away. The capital’s streets are packed with clothes, shoes, souvenirs and ceramics – and it’s famous for its jewellery shops selling expertly-crafted gold and silver designs. Or you could head up to nearby Oia to browse the art galleries and pick up pottery, handmade wooden artefacts and trinkets made from amber.
