Spend a day in Zante
The island of Zante is just across the water from Karavados. At Pesada – a 10-minute drive away – you can hop on a ferry to peaceful Agios Nikolaos. This isn’t the all-go Agios Nikolaos of the south coast, but a tranquil harbour with a pebble beach and a selection of tavernas. The tiny town is a launch pad for trips to the famous Blue Caves, too – the chalk-white sea arches and bright turquoise waters are one of the most-photographed sights on the island.
