Shop for souvenirs in Bridgetown
There aren’t too many shops in Maxwell, so if you’ve got cash to splash, set your GPS to Broad Street in the capital, Bridgetown. Here you’ll find a couple of department stores devoted to designer clothes and jewellery. At the Colonnade there’s even a Tiffany & Co outlet. And if you want some authentic Bajan souvenirs, this street is also great for handcrafted items. Topping the take-home list is the local pottery. It’s everywhere – chunky jugs, plates and bowls decorated in giddy swirls of colour.
