Look inside and out at Villa Angiolina
One look at Villa Angiolina and you’ll see why Opatija’s known as Vienna-on-the-Sea. This place was built in the 19th century as a luxury holiday home. And, in a town full of elaborate villas, this one steals the crown. The pale pink building sits amongst preened gardens full of palms, well-shaped shrubs and brightly coloured flowers. Inside, it houses the Museum of Tourism, where you can see old postcards and newspaper cuttings from the town’s past.
