This was our first all inclusive holiday and we could not have chosen a better place. We paid slightly extra for an upgrade to a sea view and were lucky enough to be allocated a sea front room in the 700s block - quiet, lovely views, excellent good sized double room, large and very comfortable. The garden rooms looked good too. Five different pools, each with a different feel - from the small adults only pool to the main one with swim up bar. We spent most of our days at the pool near the Poseidon - great sea views, small snack bar during the day (which turns into the Poseidon a la carte by night). We also loved the beach, the sun loungers on the rocks were great too. We went in early September and we were able to find empty sun loungers wherever we went at any time of day. Only there for a week but the holiday price included a trip to each of the three a la carte restaurants (even though when we booked it said just one a la carte choice per holiday). We only ate one breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant - perfectly acceptable with plenty of choice, but we loved the smaller buffet restaurant by the beach (Thalassas), still plenty of choice but dining al fresco in such a lovely location was the icing on the cake - great service too. We started each evening at the panorama bar, we loved the views and the service. We finished each evening at the bar by the main pool - a little livelier and a good place to meet and chat with other guests. We usually visit tiny villages in Greece and were concerned about how big the resort is but we never felt it was too busy - the layout, beautiful gardens and superb staff made it a friendly, village-like experience. Many thanks to all at Nana Beach, we will be back ! And ignore the reviews which say that people of different nationalities are treated differently, we did not experience that at all - great mix of guests which added to the holiday experience.More
We've recently returned from a two week visit to Nana Beach Hotel, and really can't rate it highly enough. This hotel had been recommended to us by two different people, and all the reviews on tripadvisor were so good, I must admit, I was expecting to be disappointed. Well, I was wrong! The hotel was spotlessly clean in every area. Staff were happy and welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. Food was varied and plentiful, anyone who couldn't find something to eat would have to be the fussiest eater in the world. We didn't bother doing too much, as this was a chill out before our big trip to Australia in January, but we did take the 'train' ride and went on the trip to Knossos which was very interesting. Next time we will go on the trip to Spinalonga! The beach at the Nana beach is superb, and whilst it's not the red sea, there are quite a few fish to be seen in the shallows. Whilst I'm sure the animation team were very good, as an adult couple they didn't bother us too much which is an advantage! All in all, I have to say, this is a lovely hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will probably be booking again for next September.More

Fantastic Holiday once again at Nana Beach from Gary and Jill
This is our second visit to Nana Beach as we went for the first time last year and enjoyed it so much that we had to come again this year. We came on the 7th September for 11 nights and same as last year, thoroughly had a fantastic time. Reception and Check in. Our check in was quicker than last year and the lady on reception was very kind and friendly. She looked at our booking and saw that we were repeat guests and asked us if we had any room requests. We had stayed in room 329 last year and it was a great spot for us. It was on the ground floor close to the main pool and also close to the main restaurant. She kindly said that we could have the same room again. My wife cried with happiness when we opened the door as we had had so many great memories from last year. We were taken by buggy to our room but we knew where it was so we could have walked!! Room and cleanliness: The room was basic but had everything we needed. I can't comment on any other rooms as we have only ever stayed in this one room!! The cleaners came in every day and the room was spotless. The cleaning lady had a smile on her face all the time and always greeted us when she saw us. She even told us to have a good flight home on the day we left. It's those personal touches that makes Nana Beach so special. Food and Restaurants: We ate in the main restaurant every morning, which is the Athina. They serve continental breakfasts as well as hot food such as bacon, beans, eggs (boiled 3 and 5 minutes) . You could also get pancakes and Omelettes freshly cooked for you. There is also breakfast and Dinner at the Thalassa, which is down near the beach. We didn't go there for breakfast but went there most evenings as you could eat al fresco and you don't have to wear long trousers for dinner. There are also snack bars at several pools which you can get different foods such as the main pool bar has a restaurant called La Pergola which is smaller than the Athina but has enough for lunch and there are tables and chairs that are overlooking the pool but in the shaded area. You can get Panini's, pizza, fries, hot dogs, burgers, salads and ice cream from the pool snack bars. As well as Ice slush and hot and cold drinks. The Panorama bar is the cocktail bar and this is where the lounge area is. You can sit outside on the patio and there are big comfy settees to sit and drink cocktails of an evening. There are sandwiches and cakes served here in the afternoon. They serve coffee with a dollop of cream on which is divine after your evening meal There are the ala-carte restaurants, which we only visited the Greek this year and had a great time! The waiting staff cannot do enough for you and the fool is divine at the Greek restaurant. I was stuffed when I came out. It is buffet service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in the Athina restaurant and there is a lot to choose from. There is a lot of pork served but we did have Rabbit, Veal, Lamb and fish on offer within the 11 nights. Some of the show cooking food we found to be over seasoned but apart from that it was great. Entertainment and Animation These guys are absolutely fab and we were made to feel like part of the team. Special mention to Pia who constantly smiles and laughs and has bags of energy! She always had children hanging from her and gave them donkey rides (two at a time!). She came to chat to us every day she was working and we had a great laugh. She was fab in the evening shows and danced the night away at the evening disco. Pia does the Zumba and other fitness programmes. We wish her luck in what she decides to do in the future but Nana will be lucky if they get her back next year. The little pocket rocket Charlotte! What a fantastic lady Charlotte is. She again made us feel so special and sat with us on the evening shows when she wasn't in them and when she was in them, she put on a great show. She can dance and act and boy does she have energy! Charlotte came to see us off when we left a few days ago and we do miss her. She is with the little children and they are always wanting to sit on her knee and cuddle her. She is a mighty fine DJ and a great dancer. Never a dull moment when Charlotte is around! Take care Charlotte we miss you already x The rest of the animation team are very friendly but Charlotte and Pia we spent the most time with. We loved the evening shows put on by the animation teams and are not keen on the outside shows. The shows are good but our preference is that we enjoy the animation shows so much. They are special and it's great to watch them all working . They mime yes but they never claim to be singers and who cares!! If you want shows where they are singing their own songs go to the west end or something. The shows are meant to fun and there is far too much wining about "Ooh they don't sing". It is a family complex where when you are part of the Nana beach family, you want to see the staff having fun and doing what they do best. It's not the same watching fire eaters and magicians...Boring!!! Pools and other areas Well there are so many pools and areas to sunbathe its unbelievable. You can go round the main pool which is where the pool bar is and the Yassou Nana dance twice a day. This is a salt water pool which has shallow areas and there is also a toddler pool there as well, but then there is a fresh water pool that is quite a deep pool which is in front if the Dionnysoss so quite loud music. Then there is another pool called the Veranda pool. This is a large pool with Jacuzzi and also another toddler pool. There is an adult pool and also a children's pool with all the slides and climbing frames etc and also another pool next to that. We never went to these pools and just stayed around the main pool. There is the cut out patio areas in front of the sea so you can get peace and quiet if you want or music and activities if you wanted that. There is something for everybody. We had a fantastic time and can't thank Nana beach and its staff for making us so happy whilst we were there. We will be back one day.More
Just got back from 11 fabulous days at the Nana Beach. The hotel is beautifully laid out and did feel more like a small village in Greece rather than a hotel with lovely walkways between the rooms and lots of really nice planting and trees. The food was really nice, with a choice of restaurants including a la carte. You will always find something you like to eat at any meal time. The overall setting is good too, there is something for everyone - no need to reserve sunbeds because there are so many you'll always find somewhere to sit. The choice of location is good too - the beach area and sunbeds available on the beach or on platforms by the rocks next to the sea. Lots of beds by a variety of pools so if you want the main pool with the 'Animation Team Activity' then you can have it, if you want a kids pool with slides and other fun things, you have that too, if you want a quiet pool with relaxation there's a pool for that too - great choice. Oddly the only reason not a five star rating was a few little niggles with the room - I am being very picky in some respects but when everything else is so nice it makes you look for perfection everywhere else. Had to pay 2 euros a day for the safe which always annoys me when it is in the room anyway. I understand that some people may lose a key so costs have to be covered but surely you can charge the people that lose the key? Our room had a window that faced the bed, it was a clear window i.e. not frosted and made us draw the blind for the whole stay to avoid being seen from outside the room. The blind on that window was not a blackout blind so for a couple of nights we tried to sleep with a light directly opposite the window shining directly into the room through the blind. It was actually brighter in the room at night than during the day. After that I worked out that I could just about climb up and hang one or two beach towels on the blind and this helped block most of the light out. The bed was not that supportive and was noisy when you moved on it - I'm also sporting a nice multi coloured bruise on my shin from the sharp corner of the bed because the space was quite narrow. Final negative comment is about Reception service - this seemed at odds with friendly service elsewhere. To arrive and be met with a demand, and it was a demand, that we sit down to fill in a form as the first impression was a little bit strange. Other reception interactions were a little but 'sharp' and not as friendly as the other areas. My partner had her birthday while in the hotel and we received fantastic surprise champagne and cake and singing of happy birthday in the a la carte restaurant, which was very very nice and not expected or requested, thank you! Overall this is a fantastic hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.More
