Offering more space, the superior bungalows have large double doors to make the best use of the natural light. There's a balcony or a terrace outside too - overlooking the gardens. The bungalow sleeps up to 3 people with an extra bed provided in the lounge. Air-conditioning is available from June to September. Just so you know - you may be allocated a room which is separate from the main hotel block. Other extras include a fridge, hairdryer and satellite or cable TV.

Just back from two weeks holiday in Nana Beach, our second visit. Arrived early hours of the morning. After being checked in and taken to room, were invited back to restaurant and given light meal. Fruit and wine left in room for us. Given room in middle of complex which was not to our liking, but moved next morning to room near pool and beach. Went in May last year when it was fairly quiet so were surprised to find it much busier this year. As a couple we accept this is a family resort and like to see families enjoying themselves. But didn't like being surrounded by screaming youngsters whose parents ignored their bad behaviour around the pools, the restaurants, and the bars late at night. Having said that there is an adults only pool, and lots of patios near the sea if you need a quiet moment. We think resort would benefit from an adults only bar. The themed restaurants could reserve earlier times for families and later times for couples only too. Nana beach is situated in the most stunning location with views along the coast and beautiful hills in the background. Facilities good too. The staff are so genuinely friendly, some remembered us from last year. They work tremendously hard and yet are able to greet you with a smile. The resort is very clean. From your room, with bed linen and towels changed regularly to staff uniforms which are pristine white. Pool areas washed down everyday. Animation team work hard trying to keep guests entertained. Activities not always well supported. I think if the Daily Post was put on the bars and not just in reception more people would know what is going on. The management team are fantastic. As " repeaters " we were invited to The Manager's Dinner where we were greeted with a glass of bubbly, a three course meal and at the end of the evening were given a goodie bag. A nice little touch. Thank you. They also talked to guests around the resort and even joined in to entertain us on the Greek night !!. We were given a " repeaters" loyalty card and were able to use the spa facilities free of charge. Our flight home was very late, and we were allowed to keep our room until 9 pm at no extra charge. It was lovely seeing so many people from last year, thanks for making Malcolm's birthday so much fun and thank you for the cards. Thanks also to the Italian restaurant for the bubbly and birthday cake. All in all we did enjoy our holiday. It is good value for what you pay and we have already booked to come again.More
Family hotel - not ideal for couples
Me and my partner visited Nana Beach last week, it was a last minute booking so we weren't really sure what to expect. We arrived really late on Sunday night and were shown to a room in the main building, despite booking a sea view bungalow. Although the room did have an average sea view, we booked a bungalow and were therefore disappointed and the porter told us to tell reception the next morning, which we did however the receptionist was not very helpful, telling us the rooms are the same price anyway and clearly not wanting to honour our booking. After speaking to someone else we were finally given a key to a bungalow, however the room we were given did not have what we would consider a sea view and as we paid more for this privilege we weren't happy with this but due to the unhelpful receptionist we felt we couldn't complain again. We did speak to another couple we met who also were allocated the wrong room initially and had to request to move. The food was fine, I don't think it is as good as previous reviews claim as although there is plenty of choice, there is no theme with the food so everything is a bit random and most meat is overcooked, it wasn't to our taste. There were a lot of German guests at the hotel however all of the staff we encountered spoke English. The entertainment was not good, although they made the effort to have entertainment each night, it was not good and there wasn't ever a many people attending. I would say the hotel is definitely aimed at families and as a couple we do not think it was ideal for us at all. There are families and children everywhere you turn which makes meal times very noisy and not relaxing at all, but I know this is obviously not the fault of the hotel. The pros have to be the bar staff, all very friendly and make good drinks. Nice cocktails at all bars and the hotel offers a beach towel service which I thought was really good. There are lots of pools to choose from and we always got a sun lounger, although I imagine may is not their busiest time so that is probably why and we only had 3 out of 7 days of sunshine. The cleaners do a brilliant job of the rooms and always ensure the bed is made and fresh towels are in the bathroom. The Italian a la Carte restaurant provided great service and good food and was included in our stay which was a nice change from the usual buffet. Overall we enjoyed our Holiday but we would not return, purely as the hotel is not for couples and there is not a lot to do in the surrounding area. I would say that it would be ideal for families with young children as they really do cater for families well. More
Good but not great
We have just returned from a week at Nana Beach. I will start with the transfer from the airport which took us 1hr and 40 mins and included lots of drop offs. I would recommend getting a taxi as it only took us 20 minutes to the airport on our way home and cost â¬45. The hotel. Overall we had a good time. However there are a few things that I think they could improve on. Arrival - We arrived late at night with a 4 year old and really wanted to get straight to our room and get some sleep. Instead we had to join a queue at the reception to fill in a form with our names, address, dates of birth and passport details and then queue again to hand it back in and be issued with a wrist band. Surely it would be better if the tour operator issued the hotel with this information prior to our arrival. The whole process took around 30 minutes. Which might not seem long but I felt it was completely unnecessary. We then had to wait outside for a buggy to take us and our luggage to our room....another 15 minute wait as there was lots of people waiting. Turns out, we could have literally walked around the corner to our room in 3 seconds if they had let us. The food - plenty of choice and very tasty. Beware of peak times as you have to queue to get into restaurants and then queue to get a table. It was chaotic to say the least. The specialist restaurants were good, made a nice change to be served at your table. The kids club - mainly geared up for the German families. There is an "international" area for the English kids but not as good. The room - very nice, cleaned every day with new towels and replenished water in the fridge. The pools - we tried them all (apart from the adults only one) and they were all very good. Downside is that people "reserve" sunbeds very early and a few days we couldn't get beds at the pool we wanted so had to go elsewhere. Even though there are signs to say you can't reserve beds, people just ignored them and the hotel don't police it. We did have a good time, having said that. I don't think we would return. More
Best hotel in Crete
We just returned back to London from our 10 days holidays at Nana beach hotel & it was our first time in Crete & at Nana beach hotel, from the first minute we arrived we were greeted by a nice smile from Vasilios the hotel porter and we had a fast check in and we were upgraded to a large family room with no extra with sea view room 273, we originally booked bungalow, but it seems there is some confession about what we booked with Thomson holidays, anyway we didn't want waste our time to discuss the accommodation, as long as we had enough space for 3 adults & infant, The resort is too large plenty of things to do inside the resort, we were taken for a tour by the resort golf electric car, and we were explained everything about its own facilities, there are more than 4 different restaurant and 3 snacks bars, and caffe and bar also a night club, 4 swimming pools & children play ground , Sunna , steam and indoor swimming pool, bazar with all you need to buy from gifts & presents, better to go for all inclusive deal if you book at Nana beach, plenty of food are available all day round & at the snack bars At the main restaurant we were always greeted by the beautiful Greek smile & a ward of Kalemera or Calespera ( good morning or Good evening ) the main restaurant staff and the caption are excellent , food are top most are traditional Greek style and at the breakfast is English, American or continental style, you can't complain about the food because it is for kind of nationalities , I would like to thank Harries and Antontious from the main restaurant staff and send them my regards, they are too friendly, We enjoyed a Greek night at the hotel, also there are nice beach and water sports boat or paddle free, Every corner in the resort are clean & tidy and even if you want rent a car it is available at the reception there is an office for that,always easy to find a taxi just ask the receptionist and they will call a reasonable taxi with good prices. There is plenty of entertainment things to do inside this resort & you will never feel board or disappointed. For sure we will return back but next time I will stick with a Bungalow because it looks lovely specially if you have a sea front one with terrace.
