Went in October and had beautiful weather all week. As usual the hotel was nice and clean, the staff all very friendly, and we had really good rooms. Some of the self-service food could be hotter but I suppose it is difficult with so many people there. The same lady was making omelettes every morning - brilliant! Again the Italian restaurant was very good and we were also invited to the managers dinner - excellent, we are now 'returners'More
Stayed at Nana Beach in October 14. Before we went I emailed and asked for ground floor and close to amenities and we got what we requested. It was my wife's bday and we got champagne and fruit delivered to our room when we arrived. They have an Italian, Greek, and Fish restaurant. On the night we went to Italian they had done a lovely table with champagne and flowers for my wife. wWe got he same treatment in other resteraunts thanks to Rita the manager. Breakfast is a bit manic because it is always busy. The hotel is situated by sea and a small beach. The food is good but better in main restaurant rather than the one by pools. I have to say., the staff are really lovely, very helpful and friendly., especially Yannis the bar manager and Rita's . Also the reception staff.Hotel is very big, it's like a village, but would not recommend for people with walking difficulties. It is 20 mins from Airport by taxi and 5 mins from Hersonnis. We have booked to go back next year.More

Wonderful hotel resort, wonderful staff, ( especially the entertainment crew) wonderful food. Can't wait to go back and cannot understand the minority of negative reviews. There were no dogs wandering around, so don't let that put you off, and obviously the hotel cannot do anything about the weather!More

Good for families and couples.
This was the second year in a row we went to Crete but this year we were accompanied by our two twenty something daughters for a week in September. The nan beach is at the end of Hersonissos Bay and near to the town of Stalis, which was very good for shopping and entertainment. We had rooms with sea views in the main hotel section both were clean with plenty of room. There was an in room safe which had to be hired, which is a little disappointing when you are paying this much for a room. We were on an all inclusive basis and the food was the usual buffet with various "show cooking" at each sitting and a restaurants where you could eat outside - very nice for breakfast!. The food was generally very good and there were several different themed restaurants available, a Greek, Italian and Fish themed restaurant the Greek and Italian were very good - we did not try the Fish one so can't comment, there were also food kiosks around the pools which were more than adequate for a snack. The Hotel has its own private beach and more than enough sunbeds and umbrellas. There are plenty of beach and sea front places some of them secluded for peace and quiet, which was very welcome. There are about half a dozen different pools and at least one was adults only, good if you wanted to escape the kids. The main pool also has an in pool bar which was very good. The staff were extremely friendly and the animation team were extremely hard working. I must say that usually the entertainment at these places is a bit hit and miss but it was great here and the nightly shows were actually quite good, the girl's favorite being the Lion King tribute, absolutely hilarious! The food, drink and entertainment were good here and the only things we didn't like were the paid for in room safe and lack of free wifi - in this day and age you should not have to pay extra for these things, other than that I would fully recommend itMore

Nana Beach Disapointment
Half term week Oct 26th 2014. The weather in the UK was very good temp up in the 20's . Crete weather was between 13-18deg and constant rain and thunderstorms for the duration of our stay. We up graded to a sea view - as per trip advisor. The hotel put us in room 101 directly above the bar/reception meeting area. The room was a smokers paradise, it stank! certainly not what i had seen in the brochure. The noise from the indoor nightly entertainment was loud. Sea view happened when you leaned over the balcony. So, 1st complaint. They moved us to room 701 and old style 70's block of appartments, fitted out with dark units, yes this had a sea view but still not what i had paid for. 2nd complaint. Reception sugested that i looked at room 834 as this was what they though i had seen. Having no wifi i could not show them the brochure. We viewed a seafront appartment block 834 and this was what had been advertised. This week turned out to be the last week of the season and the hotel was gearing down to full closure. By midweek some of the snack bars had closed and the animation team (Teenagers them selves) had packed the childrens play items away ready for closure on the sunday. The childrens area was finshed with arificual turf but because they had had very heavy rain it was saturated with water and mud, i witnessed a little girl slip up and her clothes where covered in muddy water. If it had'nt of been so cold and raining then we would have made full use of the pools. This was dissapointing as our 5 year old son was looking forward to swimming. I can imagine this hotel to be very nice & enjoyable at the start of the season, a good choice of restrants and bars where at hand, but closed to us. We paid a premium to fly in the half term week £2500 for 2 adults & 1 child! The departing gesture as we waited by the pool for the morning to drift by before we got our taxi to the airport. Was a pile of dog poo deposited by the pool side made by a family of wild dogs (6 in number) which was aloud to roam the complex & beach.More
