A day in Wengen
The small, quiet village of Wengen is an ideal base for exploring the mountains, perhaps by taking the Mannlichen cable car up the hill. Lauterbrunnen is also a top pick, and is a short ride down the mountain from Wengen. If you prefer to stay in Wengen for a morning, take a slow meander around the village to appreciate the Alpine architecture and maybe buy a keepsake from one of the local shops.
