    ABOUT THE HOTEL

    • Official Rating
    • Free Wi-Fi

With slides, rivers and rafting galore, Corfu’s Aqualand is a 75,000 square-metre playground of fun.

The waterpark here lines up adrenaline-pumping stuff like the Black Hole and Kamikaze slides. Plus there’s family rafting, a lazy river and the world’s third-largest wave pool.

Once you’ve dried off, you’ll find a handful of bars and restaurants, plus rooms that come with satellite TV, air-con and private balconies.

Just so you know, the waterpark is fully open from mid-May to early October. In early May the park is partially open, and not all of the slides are in operation. The Extreme Tower with six slides and the children's section with slides for children aged 4-12 years are open during this period.

There are some age restrictions to be aware of for the slides, too. The larger free fall slides have a minimum age restriction of 12 years, while some other rides have a minimum age restriction of 4 years, and some of 8 years. The pirate-themed mini slides have a minimum age restriction of 4 years.

Koukou Move! Start a paaarrtty YAY! We recently came back from here with the family and if you are the kind of group who are looking for problems or things to complain about, dont read this review. We actually enjoyed the place and would come back again, yes beds are hard but after a day of lounging at the pool, in the water park, on the beach or in town you wont really care. Our room was one of the family rooms with the additional shower and a rather nice view of the wave pool and the water park, other members of our group were in the standard rooms and none of us complained out them. Single Single Double So the only let down for me was that you had to buy food and drinks in the water park, BUT, access is free and you can come and go so there is nothing stopping you from going from pools to slides as and when you want, just like we did. The main bar serves plenty of drinks and I wish that i found out what the beer was on tap but there are plenty of cocktails for both adults and children alike. TIP: get the God Father with lemonade for a longer drink ;¬) The bar staff are very friendly and even with the 4 drink limit (at the pool bar), they had no problem in taking the order whilst I took the drinks to the group and instantly made the last few when I returned. For kids, there is ice cream and cold drnks round the back of the bar for them to help themselfs (if you can get them away from the pool). Note, the coke is COLA so dont expect CocaCola at all and you wont be dissappointed (think more along the lines of a panda pop). Snaks wise, there are plenty including toasties that you toast yourself, hot dogs etc and the hardest working ladies making pancakes all day, hats off to them. Meal times, try the wave tavern at least once! The main resturant was nice, kept clean and always had something even for the most fussy eaters in our group. To the Left, To the Right If you want a change of pace a a little traditional corfuit food, then take a walk to Costas Taverna, it's about 15 minutes away in the village and you will wonder if you have gone in the right direction (follow google maps) and dont get fooled by some of the other bars near to it. The owners were wonderful and the meal for 8 paople was very well prices for us all. Sexy The entertainment staff for 2019 were brilliant and worked tirelessly all week. They have pool games and activities through the day and then often put on fun entertainment in the evenings. There is no pressure to join in with any of the activities at all but you will enjoy it if you do. I'm sure that withing a day or 2 you will know most of the dances that take place in the hotel, unless you are not here. The hotel puts on a free bus to Glyfada Beach and Corfu town, if you can, do both, the town is really nice and has a Pirate boat down at the docks that can give you a nice tour of the area then plenty of shopping afterwards. The beach is a must at least once or twice and take a snorkle (or buy one at the shop) as the water is crystal clear with small fish swimming at your feet, plenty of watersports in the summer pristine clean sand for the kids (and big kids) to build castles on. Shakey Shakey Ok, there are plenty of things there that sting, but not in the pools... If you leave drinks around they tend to swarm them and often go for quite specific ones, I found that anything with Kumquat or Gin they liked more than most. The hotel does try and keep them away and I don think that a little more cleaning could be done on the communal areas (pressure washing daily for example) but they do otherwise try their best, bars have plenty of traps etc. Anything with citroenella it is seems to keep them away, cant comment on the mosies they get you when you are not expecting it. Dont be afraid of the crickets, yes they are huge and dont look friendly but will happily leave if you gently persuade them out, or use a glass and card. Let me see your koukou move! If you are about to post a review and don't pick up something hidden in this review, don't comment as you didn't go.
    The wasps, the wasps
    15 Oct , 2019 Sunnyscunny2013, 2467649
Stayed here for a week’s all inclusive in October with my wife and daughter. The good parts? Wave pool was fun, aqua park next door is brilliant and the staff that work there were really friendly. Accommodation was clean and serviced daily except Sundays. Entertainment team were great, Matthew, Victor, Arancha, Jessie etc were great, v chatty and friendly, providing activities throughout the day, darts, pool, aqua gym, usual things really. The Old Town was a 20 minute bus journey away and well worth visiting, even if to break up the monotony of the surroundings of the resort itself which is in the middle of nowhere despite only being a 15 minute bus transfer from the airport. The bad things? Well...there’s a few tbh. There are literally wasps everywhere and it is quite a shock at the pool bar when you see makeshift wasp catchers riddled with dead wasps. It seemed unhygienic at the pool bar for this reason. You couldnt sit or lay anywhere without being disturbed by the pesky things as they tried to drink your drink etc The food was terrible really, never piping hot, very samey throughout the week. Snack bar food was a joke really, cold chips, cold cheese puff thingys, a toastie selection that you had to cook yourself on a couple of old toasting machines dating to 1958 i think. Never very warm after that either. Fresh crepes were the only saving grace here. Drinks served in plastic glasses not much bigger than a sewing thimble and deffo watered down. Hotel staff in general suffering from miserable-itis save for two bar-men whom were actually really good/smiled. Evening entertainment was the worst ive ever seen on holiday. I felt so sorry for the people that delivered it because it was the same guys that were part of the entertainment crew for the day. I seemed to spend more of the evenings being part of the entertainment along with a few other guys than i did watching it which was slightly annoying. Karaoke x2 evenings (im needed), bingo, “Mr Aqualand competition” (im needed), magic show “im needed”. Finally a Latin dancing show by some pro dancers which was great to watch. Weather on the whole was great, met some lovely people and my daughter enjoyed herself and made some lovely friends, just a shame about certain aspects that let the place down really. Would i go back? No, i couldnt say i would, however, a visit to the aquapark next door is well worth doing separately as a day trip.
    Disappointed!

Not sure where to start! By far the best thing i can say is the waterpark and wave pool were the best part of the stay! The best meal is breakfast (the 2 toasters are about 50 years old so u can imagine how good they are) time if you eat anything u will be ok but be warned poor selection/quality food (for some reason they always had spag bol) drinks are awful soft or alcoholic! And if u actually managed to get drunk u would probably trip over the weird step/wall leading to rooms plus im 5'1" and the bushs were in my face! Massive wasp problem that they really aren't doing anything about! The entertainment team tried hard but the evening entertainment was that bad it was just funny! Beds are so uncomfortable they will however give u a topper which is just foam and mine was moldy! Location isn't good if u want to get out and about! The shuttle bus will take you to a nice beach and the trips are over priced too but would recommend theos boat bbq! Unfortunately i could go on and on about what was bad but you get what u pay for so for £400 a week id have been gutted if id payed more! People rating this more than 3 need to see more of the world!

Me my partner and 13 year old son stayed here from the 4th October till the 11th. This holiday was booked mainly for my son as he has never been abroad before. On arrival it looked amazing and was then really looking forward to spending a week here. We got our key and went to our apartment, which was spotless and had a lovely terrace. After unpacking went over to the pool bar and had to run straight back to our apartment, I have never seen so many wasps in my life. I tried to explain later on to the lady at the pool bar my son was allergic to wasp stings is there anywhere else we could get a drink, she looked at me like I just fell off the bottom of her shoe. That was after being there for about 10 minutes. Basically to cut this alot shorter. Pool bar lady disgustingly rude, young man behind reception needs lessons in customer service. Couldn't sit around the pool because of wasps. However if Jesse veter Matthew and the entertainment staff wasn't there is would of got a plane straight home. Also the whole attraction was the water park that they closed before the advertised date
