The rooms are big and comfortable. Food is served in a large self service restaurant which is a little canteen like. The fish dishes were great, fresh salads but the rest was adequate. Nice sea views from the restaurant. Pool area is excellent but can get noisy and busy. Not great when drinks are consumed in pool and glasses left at edge of pool . The beach area is really more of a concrete lido that equally gets very busy. Not sure about the sea quality either...seems clean at first but on closer inspection quite a lot of brown scum around edges. One of the workmen emptied bucket of plaster he had been using to repair steps into the sea. The hotel is isolated so it’s good you can get boat over to small town across the bay. The real highlight are the views. Lots of constant noise in the evenings so not a tranquil spot. Check in took well over an hour

Reading some of the reviews on here was amongst the contributory factors leading me to book the Iberostar for a one week holiday. I was certainly not disappointed, as it fully lived up to my expectations based around those previous reviews. My first impression arriving at reception was favourable, as the staff there are very friendly, polite and helpful, and after booking in I was shown to my room on the ground floor. Indeed all the staff I encountered during my stay were efficient, courteous and helpful. My room was serviced daily to a high standard of cleanliness. Because the various accommodation blocks and other facilities are built on a hillside, getting around involves steep slopes and many steps, rendering the location somewhat unsuitable for those with reduced mobility, but these factors are well documented. One of the major benefits of the hotel is the spectacular views across the Bay of Kotor, visible from most locations including the pool area, pool bar, and main restaurant. Most evenings, reasonable musical entertainment was offered at the pool bar. In the course of my many reviews, it is quite rarely that I have awarded a full 5 star rating, because a facility needs to be extra special in order to earn that accolade. The only downsides to the Iberostar from my perspective were the steep inclines and steps (obviously unavoidable), and the somewhat repetitive and uninspired, but nevertheless adequate, food supplied at the restaurant. Having stayed previously in Montenegro, I already had the impression that haute cuisine is perhaps not one of the country's strong points, so overall I did not consider that it detracted from an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable holiday sufficiently to warrant marking down my rating.

Well what to say? Not to far from airport 1 hour 20 mins approx Two borders to cross very close together Can be stuck at them for quite a while as they seem to like to make you wait! The hotel staff are super friendly It has four different buildings and is the only one on this side of the bay and ok for a quieter break There is are water taxis or normal taxis to town for eating out if you want to Cheaper by road (7 euros) to town Beach is small but enough space to be not on top of each other Restaurant had fabulous food and selection if you are a meat eater If your a vegetarian you might struggle after a few days to get a different meal Pool was OK nothing special Room was clean spacious enough and very good shower Would definitely come back Stuart and Wendy
