Eat at the island's best fish tavernas
This fishing village is, unsurprisingly, famous for its seafood tavernas – at weekends the city folk from Argostoli come to eat here. The best restaurants are on the waterfront, and serve up lovely sunset views along with the freshly grilled sea bream and sole. Meat lovers, meanwhile, can opt for delicious beef stamna – a hearty stew, or kleftiko – slow-cooked lamb.
