Panagia

Once a year, on the day of the Assumption of Mary, 2 long columns of boats set sail from Panagia Island to Parga Town harbour, marking the return of the town’s inhabitants from exile in Corfu. People gather at the seafront to watch the boats, lit up with Venetian lights, and then there’s a huge fireworks display, followed by parties that go on late into the night.
