Join the fashionistas in Sliema's Bisazza Street
St George’s Bay comes with a decent shopping centre where you can buy clothes, bags, jewellery and sunglasses. Five minutes’ drive south, though, takes you to Sliema. It’s been described as Malta’s West End and, just like the London version, it has lots of high-street names – think Miss Selfridge, Debenhams and Lacoste – plus some pricier independent boutiques, too. A good place to start is The Plaza on Bisazza Street, where you can also browse for local pottery and Maltese lace.
