Iceland Airwaves Music Festival

Iceland has given us its fair share of big musical names – Bjork and Of Monsters and Men both hail from the Nordic nation. And capital Reykjavik happens to have one of the hippest bar scenes in Europe. Iceland Airwaves fuses the two – it’s a five-day music festival held across Reykjavik’s cosy bars, churches and clubs. Expect Icelandic bands like Sturla Atlas and Grísalappalísa, as well as international stars – Fatboy Slim, Keane and Hot Chip have all taken to the stage. To top it all off, there are rumours of a legendary ‘hangover party’ held at the world-famous Blue Lagoon.
