Pop into the Temppeliaukio Church
Built directly into Helsinki’s rock bed in the neighbourhood of Toolo, the Temppeliaukio Church – known as the Church of Rock – is definitely worth a little visit. It’s a working Lutheran church and the interior is really something. Think open rock walls and a huge copper dome ceiling. Check the website for opening times before you go, as it closes to the public for private services, funerals and weddings.
