Best time to go to Turin
The period of March through to May is a popular time to visit Turin, as this is when the mercury reaches a comfortable 20 degrees, and days start to get longer. Plus, you can catch cultural events and Easter festivities this time of year too. Although the summer in Turin is hot and humid, averaging 26 degrees, it’s the best time to check out the city’s parks and attend an alfresco concert. The months of December to February are undoubtably cold, and it’s generally quiet in the city. But, head to the nearby Alpine resorts and you’ll find the ski season is in full swing.Passports and Visas

Health and safety
You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. If you’re travelling to the EU and you apply for a card now, you'll get a new UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) instead of an EHIC. This entitles you to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Italian nationals. It won’t, however, cover you for medical repatriation, ongoing medical treatment or non-urgent treatment. Visit www.nhs.uk/ehic for full details on what it covers. You do not need to apply for a GHIC if you already have an EHIC. Your EHIC remains valid in the EU until it expires.
