Buy a slice of pizza from a street-side window

Pizza is the most iconic thing to have ever come out of Naples. It’s served worldwide, but no one makes it better than the chefs born and bred in its birthplace. In fact, there’s a restaurant called Antica Pizzeria Port’Alba that’s been dishing pizzas out since 1830. What makes Neapolitan pizza different from other Italian versions is that the sauce must be made with San Marzano tomatoes. They’re grown in volcanic soil, just south of Mount Vesuvius. And if it’s cooked the traditional way, the base is thin and crispy, while the crust is thick, fluffy and charred around the edges. Eat like a local and grab a slice to go from a street-side restaurant window.
